Emma Womack Ellis
Emma Womack Ellis, 97, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Warren Hills Nursing Center in Warrenton, NC.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Halifax County, Virginia, April 5, 1921, to the late Henry Watson and Emma Davis Newby Womack. She was a long time member of Rosemary United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Ellis.
Surviving are her niece, Bobbie M. Eller and husband, Christopher V., of Woodstock, VA; four sisters, Christine Bane and husband, Melvin, of Scottsburg, VA, Minnie W. Gordon of Clarksville, VA, O'Neal McCormick of Alton, VA and Linda W. Hamlett of Scottsburg, VA; two brothers, Raymond C. Womack of Glen, VA and Henry Womack, Jr., of South Boston, VA.
Rev. Steve McElroy will conduct a graveside service at 11:00 am Monday, August 27, 2018 in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.
